New Health Education Event Offered to Community

MODESTO, CA - Sutter Gould Medical Foundation and Memorial Hospitals Association will hold a free community event entitled, "Living Well with Congestive Heart Failure," to provide interaction and education on managing congestive heart failure (CHF). This event, for those with CHF and their support person(s), will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2002, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 500 Coffee Road, Suite D (behind the Gateway Health Library) in Modesto.

Presentors Charles Tsai, MD, Cardiologist; Patty Bahrijczuk, RN; and Pam Noonan, MS, RD will discuss ways to self-manage CHF, how to identify foods with sodium, how to stay active, and how to recognize and manage symptoms of CHF and rapid weight gain.
