New Look for MySutterOnline - You may have noticed that MySutterOnline looks different. Our software has been upgraded to make our Web site even more informative and easy to use. Among the enhancements is a convenient collapsible menu while features such as test results, appointment requests, prescription renewals, health information, and MySutterOnline Messaging are better than ever.
We continue to be the leader in online personal health records, and we hope the site upgrades allow you to manage your health care faster and more easily than ever before.

What is MySutterOnline?

MySutterOnline is a secure, online health management tool that allows you, as a Sutter Gould Medical Foundation patient, to:
- View your health summary from the SGMF electronic health record
- View messages from your health care team
- Review past appointments and physician instructions
- Receive laboratory and other test results released by your physician
- Request to schedule and cancel your medical appointments
- Request prescription renewals
- Ask general non-medical questions
- Access trusted health education materials specific to your condition
- Change your MySutterOnline password or e-mail address
- Request to have your contact information or demographic information updated

How do I enroll in MySutterOnline?

Your doctor’s office will help you get started with MySutterOnline. They will provide you with an Access Code that will let you use MySutterOnline for the first time.

Do I need any special computer equipment to use MySutterOnline?

No. All you need is access to a computer, an e-mail account, and an Internet connection. We recommend that you use Internet Explorer, in its newest version, as your browser.
Specifically, if you have a PC, use Internet Explorer 5.5, or Netscape 6.2, or newer.

For AOL users, you must have version 5.0 or newer. If you have a Mac, you must have OS 8, 9 or X, and use Netscape 4.6.1 or Internet Explorer 5.1, or newer. Your browser must support 128-bit encryption.

Is there a charge for MySutterOnline?

No. There is no charge to Sutter Gould Medical Foundation patients for using the current services of MySutterOnline.

Which Gould physicians are currently participating in the MySutterOnline program?

If you have a Gould Medical Group primary care physician (PCP) in Stanislaus County, you can sign up and use MySutterOnline.

Patients of Gould PCPs in San Joaquin County will be able to enroll soon!
Please check with your physician's office and ask when you can enroll.

Is my record secure?

MySutterOnline is a secure electronic system, where every patient’s medical information is private and protected. Sutter Health follows the highest level of security standards for all electronic patient records, including the MySutterOnline feature which is accessed via the Internet.

All communication between you and your Sutter Gould Medical Foundation health care team are carried over a secure, encrypted connection, directly into the SGMF electronic health record. You will receive notice of new messages via e-mail, but those e-mails will not contain any confidential medical information. You will sign into your MySutterOnline account to see those messages.

What if I have security questions?

If you have any questions regarding security, please email the MySutterOnline Help Desk at SGMFmySutteronline@sutterhealth.org

Can I e-mail my physician through MySutterOnline?

Your physician will be able to send you important information about your health, such as test results, via the MySutterOnline system. This is different from standard e-mail, which is not a secure method for something as important as personal health information.

Your health care team will send you an e-mail to let you know that there is a communication for you in your MySutterOnline account.

Any confidential patient information transmitted from your Sutter Gould Medical Foundation health care team will be located in secure messages that you will see only after you have logged into your secure MySutterOnline account.

When your physician releases selected test results, a message may be included with your results to help you better understand the significance of the information you will see. Your physician may also send you secure messages through your MySutterOnline account.

What will be offered in the future?

We are planning future features of MySutterOnline, which will include:
Communicating electronically with your health care team through secure patient messaging.
Proxy access so that the appropriate people can see the records of elders or children to 12 years of age.
